Indy Kroger Workers Need a Livable Wage
Indiana 50501 is delighted to lend our strength to Essential Workers for Democracy and help support them with their 8/3 protest in support of Kroger hourly workers in their seeking of a living wage.
But Wait -- How is this Against Trump?
Indiana 50501 is, admittedly, an Anti Trump organization so when we take a stand against something else, we are always asked "why" or "how does this help us in the fight against the spread of Trump's fascism in America"?
While at times this is a complicated question, here it is not. The marginalization of low wage workers is a key tactic that is being used in today's corporate America as a means of social control. From the diminishing of our social safety net to a low minimum wage, today's workers are so marginalized that they cannot afford to not work. They cannot afford to strike.
And the alternative to a disgusting level of corporate control is, as it was in the early 1900s -- UNIONS.
