Name: Morrigan McCoy

Bio: Born little over a month after 9/11, politics had always been at the forefront of my interests. All throughout Middle and High School, I studied politics on my own time, convinced I would one day be president. Even though I no longer truly desire the office, I still want to be a politician. So, I went to college at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point and got a BA in Political Science and a BS in Public Relations. While there, I was a member and leader of Model UN for 4 years, a senator of the Student Government Association for 2 years, and organized a protest against a transphobic US Representative attending an event at the university, as well as acted in a supporting role during the on campus Free Palestine protests. Now, I’ve entered the journey of a professional adult life. From publishing my very own poetry book to moving two states away from home in for my first ever true job in my field, to searching for a way to be involved in the swelling wave of anti-fascist fervor ahead of the upcoming midterm cycle, I keep simply pushing forward, one foot in front of the other. And regardless of obstacle that stands in my way, I shall continue to live in search of my own path.
